World Championship Trial

On Sunday 19th March 2000 a trial was held at Pinewood Gymnastics Club in Bracknell to select the female individual athletes who will represent Great Britain in the upcoming World Championships in June.

Heathrow was represented at the trial by Joanne Stevens and Kerry Scotts. Joanne came away from the trial in first place and qualified to the Great Britain World Championship team.

World Series Competition

Joanne will also be representing Great Britain along with her Heathrow team mates Anoushka Mistry, Kelly Snape and Sarah Needham (Current British Trio Champions) at the first World Series event to be held in France in three weeks time.

French Open Championship

Members of Heathrow Sports Aerobics will be representing the club at this event which is being held alongside the World series event. Kerry Scotts will be competing in the senior category. Kerry won the junior championship at this competition last year against tough international competition and will be looking to have similar sucesses in the senior section. Also representing the club in the junior category will be Selina John (current u16 British Champion), Rosie Glossop (u16 Bronze medalist 1999 British Championships) and Joanna Griffin (u16 4th place 1999 British Championships).
